Upcycled Warli Block Printed Chore Coat

Pre-worn and upcycled. This vintage chore coat was first bleached to remove the dye and then sent to our partner in Jaipur, India. Artisans created blocks with beautiful Warli patterns and then block printed on this coat by hand to create a one-of-a-kind piece. Imperfections are a celebrated part of the process. 

Warli is an art form that hails from a tribe of the same name in Maharashtra, India, and dates back to as early as the 10th century. Warli motifs are centered on their social life, portraying scenes of hunting, fishing and farming with images of people, trees and animals.

Care instructions: Machine wash cold with like colors. Suggested to wash by itself the first few times to avoid any crocking of dye. Hang to dry.
