Our Story

We are an Oakland-based slow-fashion label and design community reimagining the rich artisan traditions of South Asia for a new generation. At the intersection of East meets West and old meets new, we create pieces that live outside trends, crafted in collaboration with global artisans. Our world is a kaleidoscope of cultures, stories, and craft for wanderers with a global mindset and an appetite for adventure.

Busyland started with love. As I fell in love with my partner, I also fell in love with their heritage and culture. From there came a love for South Asia’s textile traditions that was cultivated through years of travel, curiosity, and connection. 

Busyland was born in 2020 from this love as a way to honor craft while creating something fresh, unexpected, and wearable.

Now, after time away to focus on my family, Busyland returns with renewed energy and love: ready to celebrate the beauty of handcraft, the joy of individuality, and the thrill of discovery. Welcome back. Let’s play.
