Upcycled Warli Block Printed Chore Coat

Pre-worn and upcycled. Before this vintage chore coat was sent to Jaipur, India, it was bleached and then overdyed in a magenta dye by one of our vintage dealers in California. Hand block printing by skilled artisans in Jaipur then reimagines this coat to be a one-of-a-kind piece with beautiful Warli patterns.

Warli is an art form that hails from a tribe of the same name in Maharashtra, India, and dates back to as early as the 10th century. Warli motifs are centered on their social life, portraying scenes of hunting, fishing and farming with images of people, trees and animals.

Care instructions: Machine wash cold with like colors. Suggested to wash by itself the first few times to avoid any crocking of dye. Hang to dry.
